Journalists' treatment at Oka criticized

According to the Committee, Quebec police confiscated video cassettes, turned off journalists' cellular phones, denied them access to equipment and lawyers, threatened and verbally abused at least one photographer, and prevented particular journalists from getting access to the site because the police didn't like the way their newspaper was covering the crisis. |
