Abstract: 
LESBIANS OF COLOUR was formed in March, 1984, to foster a sense of community and provide emotional support for lesbians of colour, and to work with other groups who share similar goals. The group aims to work against racism, classism, sexism, homophobia and other formes of discrimination within their respective communities and the lesbian and gay community. Activities have included;
- a workshop on racism at the Lesbian Sexuality Conference in Toronto 1984;
- a workshop on racism and building community on International Women's Day 1985;
- hosting Third World delegates to the International Gay Association Conference, Toronto, 1985.

Weekly meetings included potluck dinners, dances, picnic, and discussions on coming out, familites, lovers, cultures and sexual-political issues.
