Representing people both inside and outside the prison system.

Abstract:
The United Prisoners' Rights Movement (UPRM) represents people both inside and outside the prison system who are trying to build structures to ensure that prisoners get reasonable treatment in Canadian penal institutions. Its two-fold goals are: to provide support to prisoners in their efforts to organize themselves and to educate the public as to the real conditions under which prisoners live. "Rap About Prisoners" is the exchange medium for the inmates.
