Starting a Community Garden -- the Vision and Making it Real

March 29, 2017

Speakers:
Rhonda Teitel-Payne, Coordinator, Toronto Urban Growers
Derek Barber, Eglinton Park Garden Committee
Melana Roberts, Constituency Assistant for Councilor Joe Mihevc

You've probably heard that community gardens can be a great way to meet new friends, have fun, and build community while growing local, sustainable food. But how do you actually start one? What's it like being part of a successful "on-growing" garden? What are the opportunities for community gardening in and around our own neighbourhood? Could a new community garden be in GN 21's future?

Our expert panel will address these questions and more. Whether you are an aspiring gardener, an existing gardener, or just curious, please join us. Come and share your growing ideas!
